The Hellenic Women’s Cultural Association and the Hellenic Women’s Federation of Victoria will be hosting an event to celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day.

The Hellenic Women’s Cultural Association will be hosting a talk, wine and meal at Hilton on the Park Melbourne, 192 Wellington Street, Melbourne, this Sunday starting at 11.30 am to 3.00 pm. Speaking on the day will be psychologist and lecturer Eleni Kalambouka. The day will be dedicated to Melina Mercouri, who throughout her illustrious acting career, involved herself in politics and was an activist against Greek Junta. Tickets are $60.00 per person.

Similarly, the Hellenic Women’s Federation of Victoria’s event will focus on the inspiration and strength of Melina Mercouri. Neos Kosmos journalist Claire Gazis, will be speaking at the event. The event will take place on 10 March at Preston City Hall, 284 Gower Street, Preston, from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm. Tickets are $25.00 per person.
