Hatzi-madness hit Australia with the Greek pop singer Mihalis Hatzigiannis here for his Australian tour. Landing in Melbourne last Wednesday, lucky fans had the opportunity to meet the famour pop idol at the Bank of Cyprus’ Essendon North Branch.

More than 100 delighted and star struck followers of Hatzigiannis had a private meeting with the star as he laughed and joked whilst signing autographs and posing for pictures.

His fan base stretches through all ages groups as people young and old were at the event. But it was the ladies who were trying their hardest to get his attention. During the event, Bank of Cyprus, assisted by the famous pop singer, presented a donation of $3,000 to Agapi Care.

This is Hatzigiannis’s fourth Australian tour and every time he comes he goes from strength to strength not only as an artist who writes his own music, but also as a performer, entrancing all that are there to see him.

Unfortunately, Melburnians miss out on seeing his famous sweetheart, Greek actress Zeta Makripoulia, as according to our sources she will touch down in Sydney later next week.

Hatzigiannis played a sold out show in Melbourne on Friday and Saturday night. Adelaide’s Sunday night show has been cancelled and now he will be performing in Melbourne for a third and final show. Brisbane can see Hatzigiannis on 17 June while Sydney will get the final show of the Australian tour on 18 June. Support for the shows will be Marlene Aggelidou.
