Ingredients

½ kilo chickpeas (soaked overnight in soda and boiled till very soft or alternatively used the tinned variety – rinse before using if you choose this easier way)
2 grated onions
1 ripe grated tomato
1 clove of garlic grated
finely chopped mint
oregano
salt and pepper
plain flour for wrapping
olive oil for frying

Method

1. Put chickpeas through vitamiser till they are a pulp.
2. Add all the other ingredients and mix well.
3. Make into round balls like keftedes, wrap in flour and fry in olive oil.
4. Drain on kitchen paper before serving.
