A great success for the Greek National Tourism Organisation (NGTO), Greece will be participating in the New York Times Travel Show 2019 (NYTTS) held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, between January 25 and 27.

With visitor numbers exceeding 23,000 in total during 2018, Greek exhibitors will have a chance to receive exposure to investors through one of the most important travel trade shows for North American merchants and consumers.

The event promotes 10 European destinations through their official tourism organisations, while it shines light on 100 cultural events from around the world. Participants get to network, promote their products and establish new business relationships as well as invite acclaimed travel guides to their establishments or gain the seal of approval from travel experts.

According to data released, attendance translates into more than 100 million US dollars in revenue for travel exhibitors that participate; the positive publicity received during the NYTTS reportedly lasts for about a year following the event whereas additional sales for exhibitors amounted to 7.5 million US dollars.

Held for the 16th year, the New York Times Travel Show is set to welcome over 600 exhibitors from 176 participating, including organisations the likes of European Commission Visit Europe, the European Travel Commission.
