About 50 students and teachers from St Nicholas Greek School in Yarraville participated in this year’s Greek Independence Day March in the city on Sunday.

Spokesperson for the school, Father Alexandros said “this is an inaugural event that our school has been participating for many years. We start the celebrations with children reciting poems in our church, followed by the march. It is a wonderful way to celebrate our heritage and connect with the next generation of Greek Australians.”
