Cretan associations in Melbourne commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete

The 79th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete was kept small in Melbourne due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
A wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Shrine of Remembrance. Wreaths were laid by Greek consul general Dimitris Michalopoulos, President of the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand A. Tsourdalakis and representatives of Cretan bodies.

Events for the Battle of Crete 2021 in Australia will take place in April next year in Sydney (9-12 April), Canberra (13-14 April), Melbourne (16-19 April), New Zealand (20-22 April), Brisbane (23-24 April), Tasmania (25-28 April and Adelaide (29-30 April).
