The profound impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is reflected in the revised title for the 10th anniversary of Antipodean Palette 2020, In Isolation. The exhibition which was to have been entitled Connection had to be postponed and re-calibrated to take into account the unique realities we are all experiencing.
“Acknowledging the profound impact the virus has had on artists and the arts industry, the Greek Australian Cultural League (GACL) decided to modify the Antipodean Palette 2020, to provide an online opportunity for artists during this time of isolation” said GACL president Cathy Alexopoulos in a statement to announce this year’s exhibition going online.

The artists and their works will feature on Facebook and Instagram as well on the pages of the GACL’s Antipodes periodical, publications and its website.
For the exhibition past participants of the Antipodean Palette were invited to submit an artist’s statement and one work that related to the theme In Isolation. In total 15 Greek Australian artists answered the call.
