Several hundred people are expected to attend the official opening of Australian-Greek filmmaker Alex Proyas state-of-the art virtual production studio Heretic Foundation in Sydney tomorrow afternoon.

Mr Proyas, the iconic director of The Crow and Dark City told Neos Kosmos that the new studio had been operational for the last few months and the opening at the Actors Centre Australia in Leichardt was an opportunity to show the local industry what the new studio in Waterloo could produce.

The studio facilities will enable all levels of film production, including a green-screen system that enables a film maker to replicate any film setting at a lower costs than conventional methods.

“It changes the paradigm of the way films are made. It has been pretty complicated to get the technology to create the work flow,” Mr Proyas told Neos Kosmos last year.
