Melbourne Victory announced the re-signing of midfielder Paige Zois for the next two A-League women seasons.

The 17-year-old is a product of Victory’s W-League Elite Girls Program, making her senior debut for the Club as a 16-year-old in the AFC Women’s Club Championship against Jiangsu Suning and W-League debut against Brisbane Roar in the Club’s Championship-winning season.

“I have been lucky to have a few special moments that will stay with me forever but some notable moments that I will always remember. Wearing the green and gold and competing in the under 16 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Championship in Thailand in 2019, making my Melbourne Victory debut playing at the inaugural Women’s AFC Champions league in South Korea in 2019 and making my W League debut in January of this year,” she told Neos Kosmos earlier this year.

One of Victoria’s brightest young stars, Zois was also awarded the player of the tournament at the 2018 U15 National Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour.

This year Zois has been balancing year 12 studies and keeping up her skills playing in NPLW Victoria with FC Bulleen Lions.

Melbourne Victory W-League Head Coach, Jeff Hopkins, said he’s excited to see Zois continue her development at the Club.

“We’re proud to see one of Victoria’s best up and coming talents continue their footballing journey at Melbourne Victory,” he said.

“Paige’s commitment to the Club is testament to our Elite Girls Program and how it continues to develop some of the state’s finest female footballers for today and the future.

Zois said she is thrilled to be part of the squad again this season in Melbourne Victory’s statement.

“Melbourne Victory has been a part of my development for a number of years now and to continue my journey at Victory with Jeff and the squad is something I’m looking forward to,” Zois said.
