It’s this time of the year again, with the Australian-Greek Welfare Society preparing for its upcoming Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday, 22 November at 6pm.

In a message on behalf of the Board of Directors, Hon, Secretary George Spiliotis has invited all members to attend, elaborating on the choice of holding it online.

“2021 has also been an extraordinary year for us all. The COVID-19 pandemic continued to have a profound impact on all our lives and required us to continue with new ways of doing things in order to keep ourselves, our loved ones and our community safe. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines provided by Commonwealth and State governments, the Federal Treasurer has issued a Determination that permits companies to hold virtual annual general meetings.

“The safety of our members, our staff and the broader community are key considerations for the Board, and accordingly, our 2021 AGM will be held online (virtually) rather than at the usual physical location,” the message reads.
