The Organisational Commitee for Greek National Day in collaboration with Neos Kosmos will host a special exhibition by photographer Dimitra Hatziadam at the Coburg on Victoria on 12 December.
The opening of the exhibition, titled ‘EVZONES/Guardians of the Unseen’ will be held as part of the 2021 Victorian Bicentenary Committee under the auspices of H.E. President of the Hellenic Republic Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou will be transmitted live on Facebook via Neos Kosmos’ official page.
Even though the exhibition has visited several countries and capitals around the world it is the first time it makes the journey from Greece to Australia as part of the ongoing celebrations of the 200th anniversary of Greece’s independence.
The attendees will be able to view the photographs in the form of 11 banners, three metres tall each. Through the imagery, one can understand Greece’s National Guards’ appearance, the stories their traditional garments, the symbolisms as well as the daily challenges they face.
