Every year, media conglomerate Bloomberg compiles its list of the most influential people in business, research, entertainment, science, tech and data analysis whose accomplishments deserve recognition worldwide.

For the challenging year that 2021 has been, the ‘Bloomberg 50’ features famous personalities and behind-the-scenes heroes who have made a difference.

At the top of the list, sits Greek-Australian COO of TikTok Vanessa Pappas who started out as an interim CEO last fall and has implemented strategies that have skyrocketed the social media platform millions of downloads ahead of its competitors Instagram and Facebook.

Pappas, a former YouTube executive, has managed to keep TikTok’s 1 billion monthly users peeled on their screens for 45 minutes at a time breaking every record.

On the same list, but on number 34 stands Pfizer’s Chairman CEO Albert Bourla for his efforts towards the creation of preventative and treatment methods against COVID-19.
