With the league all but secured for Olympiacos, the focus is now squarely on the battle for second position in a fight mostly contested between the two Double-headed Eagles of Hellenic football.

PAOK travels to Volos and, after claiming second spot last round, they will not want to relinquish it any time soon though they face a Magnesia team who have already pulled off a major upset (beating Panathinaikos 3-1 two weeks ago).

Third-place AEK faces Atromitos away and they need no further motivation than climbing into second after their loss to Panetolikos saw them displaced by the Double-headed Eagle of the North.

Leaders Olympiacos are determined to protect their imperious unbeaten league campaign as they face another challenge in fifth-placed Giannina.

The Piraeus club are scheduled to host the “Ajax of Epirus” on Monday morning (AEDT) in the Hellenic Championship’s 19th round and Giannina will do all they can to get a positive result.

The Red and Whites have not lost once in the competition, though they were reminded of what it feels like when they were defeated 2-1 in the Greek Cup midweek by Panetolikos.

Panathinaikos meets Ionikos away on Sunday morning (AEDT) and they are aiming for a comfortable win after a defensively-played draw last round against their bitter enemies.

OFI collides at home with Panetolikos and the Cretans will be wary of their opponents who have toppled heavyweights AEK and Olympiacos in their past two fixtures.

Aris welcomes Lamia to Thessaloniki in what looms as a must-win match if they wish to finish inside the top six.

The final match sees Asteras Tripolis host Apollon Smyrnis on Tuesday morning who, despite being in last position and coming off a 1-0 midweek loss to Volos, have earned some hard-fought draws recently against Olympiacos and Aris.
