The ‘Sak-attack’ is back! Greek tennis star Maria Sakkari made it through to the fourth round of the Australian Open taking over her Russian opponent, Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 6-1 in one hour and 24 minutes.

The No.5 seed pressured Kudermetova by playing a hard and dominant game which resulted in the latter making many errors in comparison to Sakkari (32-12).

Even though Sakkari hit less winners (15-12) she had an undeniably more effective strategy, breaking the Russian five times with more advantages in first-serve points won (77-63) and second-serve points won (61-32).

Sakkari will now face American 21st seed Jessica Pegula in the fourth round.
