After a tumultuous year, the Kidz Fashion Week is back on track, more fun and glamorous than ever, starting in Melbourne this Saturday, at the iconic Melbourne Town Hall, before it continues on to Sydney, on 23 April, and the Gold Coast on 25 June.

“As always, this show is about the kids,” Greek-Australian educator and entrepreneur Terri Svoronos, tells Neos Kosmos.

“I promised them a spectacular show and I never diverted from that happening, even faced with two major lockdowns and three postponements. I’m about empowering children not disappointing them, so when everything else got cancelled in their lives, dance concerts, sports, theatre, Kidz Fashion Week did not fail them!”

Ms Svoronos is a Telstra Business Award Winner, and Kidz Fashion Week (which she founded in 2014) is a culmination of helping foster talent in a way that supports diversity and inclusivity, while encouraging kids and teenagers of all ages and backgrounds, shapes, sizes, needs, to take to the stage in their own way.

As we face so many challenges due to the pandemic, the focus of the show is more important than ever Ms Svoronos states: Fostering a sense of pride and inclusivity and fun, with good self-esteem and promoting body positivity.

The show will also feature a very young entrepreneur, 14-year-old, Rhemy Willis, who will showcase her swimwear, which was borne out of ensuring young girls feel comfy in their skin. Rhemy has participated in the show for the past five years, and describes the environment as inclusive and supportive for all kids who participate.

Apart from the modelling young talents, several notable faces from the acting and influencer world will be present, along with our very own, young Zara Tsolakis, who is part of the cast in the highly anticipated Nick Giannopoulos movie, releasing in 2022, ‘Wogboys Forever’.

Zara tells Neos Kosmos that she loves doing Kidz Fashion Week “because it’s lots of fun, you make new friends and I love to walk the runway showing my awesome clothes”. She says that this year she will wearing Moschino by Le Style Jnr and adds with an air of mystery that she’ ll be opening the show!
