Pre-school teachers Vicky Petala and Christina Soumi explain to Neos Kosmos the benefits of the Greek Community Greek Studies program for preschool “Ela”.

Inspired by their smiles and the love of children, the two have developed a program wherein young children aged 18 months to 4 years old will find an environment where they learn to communicate in Greek, socialise with other children, are inspired and stimulated through participation in a range of wonderful activities and lots and lots of play!

The program has been loved by young and older generations and has had great attendances, expanding to two more locations.

The goal is to learn the Greek language through deep understanding, supporting individuality, positive motivation and attitude, as well as providing stimuli towards learning.

Utilising modern educational methods such us Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Project Zero, to name a few. Artistic creation plays a great part in the learning process.
Besides, play is the basis of our childhood and joy guides each learning component.
