PAOK has continued its fantastic run in Europe, defeating Belgian side KAA Gent, to surge into the last eight of the Europa Conference League in its debut edition.

The Thessaloniki giants recorded a 1-2 away victory, winning the tie 3-1 overall, in what is now their best performance in any European competition.

PAOK took the lead after a finish from centre half Jose Angel Crespo following a corner (20’) before it was cancelled out from Gent forward Laurent Depoitre’s header (40’).

Midfielder Douglas Augusto put the result and tie out of the Belgians’ reach with a wonderful strike from range into the bottom left corner (77’).
