Greek Australian grandfather, Chris Tsalikis, who just finished his “marathon” walk, raising more than $11,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is joining forces with Greek Australian artist, Anastasia Nikakis, to continue campaigning for this cause as we enter October, the month dedicated internationally to breast cancer awareness.

Everyone is welcome to the attend the sculpture exhibition tilted “Morphe” and meet the two inspiring and generous artists, in East Melbourne.

Woodcarving is Chris Tsalikis’ great passion. Every day when he returns from his walk, he goes to his garage and works on his sculptures.

“It keeps me alive, it keeps me healthy,” he told Neos Kosmos.

Anastasia Nikakis is also based in Melbourne, and works across various mediums and techniques, including oil on canvas and both plaster and bronze sculpture. Many of her pieces feature faces and the female form, celebrating beauty, character, strength and joy.
