George Diakomichalis, South Australia’s favourite pastry chef behind the multi-awarded Kalymnos Pastries will be appearing on TV in 2023 with his new cooking series ‘It’s All Greek to Me’.

Diakomichalis’ show first started on YouTube and was picked up by Channel 9, premiering for SA viewers last Sunday, and airing Australia wide on Tuesday.

The first episode features Diakomichalis’ lifelong friend Niko and his mum Georgia Mavragelos. Speaking to Neos Kosmos the chef teased that there will be many traditional Greek recipes showcased as well as episodes bringing together different cultures sharing Australian soil.

One of Diakomichalis’ favourite episodes honours the connection between Greek migrants and First Nations Peoples.

“Your unwavering support for this series now means we can meet new families, learn about new cultures and tell new stories with a new audience – how amazing!” Diakomichalis wrote on Facebook.

“You will be amused; you will laugh, and you may cry. You’re going to learn a couple of mouth-watering recipes that you need to make at home!”
