Rebekah Elmaloglou will reprise her role as Terese Willis in the revival series of the much oved TV soap Neighbours.

The show is due to return to Australian screens later this year via Amazon’s ‘Freevee’ streaming service, following its shock cancellation by Channel 10 in the summer of 2022.

Elmaloglou’s reprisal of the role was announced alongside that of fellow cast members Annie Jones, Tim Kano and Georgie Stone,

Her character Terese became a fan favourite following her introduction in 2013 as the matriarch of the Willis clan; a woman fiercely devoted to her family.

But Elmaloglou’s acting credits go back to the mid 80’s, one of her first roles being in the third installment of the Mad Max, aged just 11 years old.

Though Elmaloglou rose to prominence in the role of Sophie Simpson on Home and Away, where she starred in over 500 episodes.

The role of Terese Willis however has been her longest, portraying the hard working and devoted mother in almost 1,400 episodes over the course of nine years.

Terese was introduced to the long running series as the new manager of Lassiter’s Hotel, owned by the at times villainous and often duplicitous resident of Ramsay Street, Paul Robinson.

With Stefan Dennis is poised to reprise his role as Paul in the show’s revival, its speculated the pair will once again bump heads owing to their storied history.

Elmaloglou said as much speaking with The Daily Telegraph, stating “No doubt Paul will be lurking in the background.”

Adding that she was “Just as much in the dark as our fans” about what fate awaits Terese upon the show’s return.

A fan favourite who’ll soon celebrate a decade in the role, thanks to the show’s revival; she’ll join previously announced co-stars Alan Fletcher, Jackie Woodburne, Ryan Moloney and Stefan Dennis when Neighbours returns later this year.
