British rock and pop superstar Sir Rod Stewart has for decades drawn the admiration of fans the world over.

But it seems his love isn’t relegated to the world of music, as his performance in Melbourne last Tuesday night demonstrated for all to see.

The singer-songwriter’s soft spot for Ange Postecoglou is no secret, as a well-known Celtic FC diehard his admiration of the former Socceroos coach has exploded into public view since the great took over the Scottish side in their 2021-22 season.

His love for the Celtic boss is so great in fact, that Stewart dedicated his famous tune ‘You’re in My heart’ to the fan favourite coach during his Australian tour.

A ‘heart-warming tribute’ images of Postecoglou were front and centre on the big screen above the stage at Rod Laver Arena making for a long-distance serenade dedicated to the Greek Australian.

It wouldn’t be out of place to say the world-renowned crooner has developed a bit on an infatuation with Postecoglou.

The Scottish Sun reported late last year that the star sends Postecoglou a case of Aussie wine every time Celtic beat their rivals Celtic FC.

Stewart assured the publication that “if they beat them again, I’ll send him another crate.”

In an interview with 3AW the pop legend championed the Australian coach as a “wonderful man”, he even went as far as to say he wanted to make a pilgrimage Postecoglou’s childhood home while in Melbourne.

Dubbed a “bromance” by many, if it is one; it’s certainly seems the type that will only grow with time.
