Greece is gearing up for the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, where the uber-talented and young Victor Vernikos will represent the country with his song ‘What they Say’.

Eurovision this year is hosted by the city of Liverpool in GB, and features three key events: the 1st semi-final on May 9, the 2nd semi-final on May 11, and the grand final on May 13.

This year, voting procedures have changed, and public votes alone will determine the semi-finalists, making the support of the Greek diaspora vital to secure Greece’s place in the grand final.

Greece’s entry will compete in the second semi-final on Thursday, May 11, performing 8th in the order.

To ensure Greece qualifies for the grand final, viewers are urged to vote for Greece (#8) through SMS, calls, the Eurovision app, or the online platform www.esc.vote.

It is important to note that votes should be cast from the viewer’s country of residence, rather than a Greek phone.

For the first time, viewers from countries not participating in the contest, known as “Rest of the World,” will also have the opportunity to vote in the semi-finals and grand final. Votes can be cast via the official Eurovision app or by visiting www.esc.vote, with the Rest of the World votes holding the weight of an additional country.

At just 16 years old, Victor Vernikos is the youngest singer to represent Greece in Eurovision.

He has not only delivered an incredible performance of ‘What they Say’ but has also written both the music and lyrics.

This rhythmic ballad embraces a range of emotions, emphasising the power of togetherness to overcome difficulties.

By voting for Greece (#8) during the live broadcasts in your country of residence, you can contribute to Victor’s journey to the grand final on May 13.

Remember to vote using the phone number from your country of residence.
