South Melbourne FC have announced Strati Xynas as its Interim General Manager following the departure of David Clarkson.
Hall of Famer and life member Clarkson, who is moving overseas for a new opportunity, played a key role in the last 12 months, contributing to the club’s progress toward the National Second Tier / Australian Championship & Oceania Professional League.
“We thank David for his service and wish him and his family the very best, and we now look ahead to the launch of the Australian Championship in October and a strong second half of 2025 both on and off the pitch,” the club said in a statement.
Xynas takes on the role having held multiple community-driven and football-specific roles, including previous stints as the club’s Technical Director and Head of Football.
He is also a former player and a life member of South Melbourne.
Xynas will be supported by George Kouroumalis, who expands his current role as Head of Brand and Marketing to also take operations duties with Louise Scolaro.
