A structured course for all Greek speaking grandparents to participate will be hosted by the Australian Greek Welfare Society (AGWS) in collaboration with Family Mediation Centre & Life Works.

The seminar, supported by the Department of Social Services, is aimed to inform grandparents affected by the separation or divorce of an adult child, as well as around their grandchildren’s rights to contact and visit them.

The course will also cover the topics of stress management and family conflict resolution, effective communication, looking after yourself and relaxation techniques (cofacilitated with Carers Victoria), and will discuss the AGWS services and other supports available.
The course will be held on Monday 28 April; Monday 5, 12, 19, 26 May and Monday 2 June 2014, from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm, at Family Relationship Centre, 41 Stamford Road, Oakleigh.

Entry is free. Light refreshments will be provided. To attend the seminar, it is essential to make a booking and commit to attending all six sessions.
