In preparation for the arrival of a priceless collection of treasures from the Benaki Museum, the Hellenic Museum is re-designing and upgrading its exhibition halls and storage areas. As a result, hundreds of items comprising artwork, furniture, antique display cabinets and miscellaneous gems, including a beautiful grand piano, will be available for sale.
All the items will be on display and available for purchase at the Hellenic Museum at 280 William street Melbourne on Sunday 4th May, from 10am till 4pm.
The items for sale will not only be of interest to individuals and families but also to Greek schools and community groups.
Proceeds from the sale will go to support the Museum’s on-going exhibitions and cultural programs.
