• Former supermodel Cindy Crawford has announced that she would never make it in today’s fashion industry due to her curvy figure. Apparently her big breasts, normal thighs and toned upper arms make her look ‘too healthy’ and would be a total disadvantage in the current industry. Crawford once studied chemical engineering before becoming one of the world’s most successful supermodels in the 80s.
  • Designer Yves Saint Laurent has become the year’s top earning dead celebrity. The designer, who died in 2008, managed to make $US350 million in the past year. Second on the list of dead celebrities were composing duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein ($US235 million), followed by recently deceased King of Pop, Michael Jackson ($US90 million).
  • Aussie designer Peter Morrissey has launched his new collections for Big W. Woman by Peter Morrissey and Man by Peter Morrissey are a new, more economical direction for the local designer, who has described the new lines as his best collections ever. The capsule collection features underwear for men, and for women there are a number of cute cocktail dresses. In addition to being highly affordable (frocks from as little as $79) Morrissey is also getting snaps for showcasing his designs on a size 16 model. Nice one Pete.
