Winner of the prestigious 2013 Southern Highlands International Piano Competition (SHIPC), Greek pianist Konstantinos Destounis returns to Australia this October, for his much anticipated Australian concert series.

The Southern Highlands, Canberra and Sydney will have an opportunity to experience performances by this young pianist who, showing a maturity beyond his years, left Australian audiences spellbound when he performed with the Canberra Symphony Orchestra in the 2013 SHIPC.

Born in 1991 in Athens, Konstantinos Destounis is a pianist whose passion and devotion to music have led him to the international music scene. He is the receiver of numerous prizes, most notably the 1st prize in the Southern Highlands International Piano Competition 2013 in Australia and 2nd Prize in the Bremen European Piano Competition 2012. As the winner of the competition organised by the National Radio-Television, he represented Greece at the
Eurovision Young Musicians 2010 in Vienna.
