Last week saw the shocking deaths of 41-year-old Gabriel Kallinikos and 28-year-old mother of three, Christina Karageorge.

Last Tuesday, Mr Kallinikos lost control of his car, smashing through a fence followed by a tree on Rowans Road in Moorabbin.

The victim was soon rushed to Alfred Hospital, where doctors did their best to keep the victim alive, though they were unsuccessful.

The Oakleigh resident, said to have been an only child living with his widowed mother, was driving a blue I.X. Mitsubishi.

Another road accident involving a Greek Australian resulting in fatality took place in the early hours of Friday morning on Mt Alexander Road in Trancore.

Ms Karageorge was the passenger of a black Nissan Micra that crashed into a tree just after 3.00 am.

The victims were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with Ms Karageorge in a critical condition, where she passed away hours later from internal injuries, leaving behind her two daughters and a son.

The driver, a 27-year-old man, is said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries and remained in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed either car accident to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
