The Viva Victoria Multicultural festival will return to Melbourne’s city centre to host X-Factor star, Jason Heerah, amongst a stellar line up of artistic events whose diverse nature pays subtle tribute to the celebration of diversity in Victoria.

Viva Victoria will take to Federation Square on the March 22 to unify a state infamous for its celebration of difference and equality. In order to celebrate the multicultural state of Victoria, cultures will take to the stage, the big-screen, the kitchen and the sporting field in order to showcase their cultural pride.

Prized in the festival’s free music realm is X-Factor star, Jason Heerah, who will perform alongside the Chosen Ones. Other acts who complete the festival’s diverse line up include Nicky Bomba and Bustamento, Melbourne Bhangra Regiment, The Brothahood, Zero Degrees, Lehenda Ukranian Dance Company, The Deans, La Mauvaise Reputation, Mesopotamia and many, many more.

The festival’s Yarra River Terrace will host an amazing plethora of foods that will take foodies to every corner of the globe. If language is your thing, then head to the various language workshops that will be held on the way to the various kids activities around the venue on the day. For film lovers, a vast array of flicks from the Alliance Françoise French Film Festival and the Colourfest Film festival can be enjoyed.

The festival’s big screen will also showcase the critically acclaimed film Ror by Melbourne filmmaker, Natalie Cunningham. Major Melbourne sports clubs will also attend the event, with sporting activities hosted by the AFL, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City FC.
