Emirates Airlines have just announced Jennifer Aniston as the new face to represent the airline.

Aniston’s reported $5 million deal comes just months after rival airline Etihad signed Australian actress Nicole Kidman.

Bringing the actress on board is a great PR move according to Vishal Anand, CEO of Dubai-based communications agency Blue Apple.

He says both Kidman and Aniston are fitting choices for the airlines as they are A-list stars with recognisable faces, but don’t carry a bad record of scandal and negative press.

The press seem to agree with Anand’s sentiment, with UAE newspapers referring to the former Friends actress as the perfect representative because of her “lifestyle”.

“Aniston sells a whole package that’s somehow both glamorous and totally attainable – which is exactly what Emirates sells, too.”

The 46-year-old has also signed deals with Aveeno skincare, Smartwater, and Living Proof haircare.
