Your greatest achieve-ment(s)?

I was elected as a Middle School Captain, I won soccer awards and participated in many sports. I also won academic awards.

How did you get to where you are now?

It took a lot of hard work. I wrote a speech and was voted onto a short-list as a Middle School captain by my peers.

Your greatest challenge?

Adjusting from primary school to high school. It was a big step but I managed to pull through.

Goal(s) for the future

To get through high school and to get a good degree at uni.

Best moment of my life?

Any time I’m with my family at parties.

One word that describes you the best?

Friendly.

Person(s) you most admire and why?

My grandparents, for being able to build a life from nothing here in Australia.

Best thing about being Greek-Australian?

Things like a Greek-style barbecue are great.

If I could say anything to the Greek community…

I would tell them what a great job they’re doing and ask them to have more involvement with my school.

Funniest Greek (family) moment:

When my cousin was going to start a toast at my Thia’s wedding. He hit his glass too hard and broke it in front of everyone.

Favourite place to go or hang out at?

The park around the corner from my house.

Yiayia’s yemista.
