Psstt…a Greek-owned Nylon Hair salon has been styling hair for the Lady GaGa tour!

GaGa’s dancers were so impressed with their bold neon-punk styles that they are returning to Nylon Hair again during the last leg of the tour in Melbourne.

“The vibe in the salon was electric. As soon as GaGa’s dancers came in, you could feel the energy in the salon change,” said Nylon Hair director Jason Panda.

Wanting to feel like and come out looking like a star, I booked in a hair colour and cut at the salon.

If Nylon Hair was able to impress the socks of GaGa, Jessica Hart and P Diddy, I’m sure they will be able to transform my lifeless locks into ‘hot girl’ hair.

I must say that I was impressed.

Jason gave me an honest opinion of the colour he thought would suite me, which was a deliciously rich semi-permanent colour combination of cappuccino, viennese brown and macchiato. He also used the colour dipping technique to add natural tonal definition to the hair. The finish was glossy, natural, and so much better than the fading blonde foils that I had previously.

Hairdresser Ben did an amazing job of my cut; a layered style that created more movement and interest than before.

Just watching him amused me, as he treated my hair as though it was a masterpiece. He was so precise with my cut that it made me wonder if he was an artist in another life. Plus he had a good sense of humour so it was all good fun.

The vibe at Nylon Hair salon is far from the pretentious, yet the results are that of a high end salon. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and give you the star-worthy attention that you deserve.

The bonuses? Jason’s ultra relaxing head massage, and Ben’s educational lesson on the right way to use a GHD straightening iron.

Would I go back? Definitely.
