The home of Melbourne street food, The Food Truck Park, is excited to announce a partnership with Frankston City Council with its inaugural Tourism Event Attraction Program in 2016.

The Seaside Street Food Festival will bring foodies a delicious line-up of Melbourne’s finest food trucks, craft beer, cider, wine and live entertainment over five days on the breathtaking waterfront.

A street food festival to suit everyone’s tastebuds, the waterfront will come alive with a rotating roster of gourmet cuisine throughout the five days.

The event is set to highlight the culture, diversity and beauty of the area and attract audiences from within the municipality and beyond; as expected, Greek food will have a prominent place.

Director of the Food Truck Park, Frank Rusitovski, is thrilled to kick off the Tourism Event Attraction Program and is thankful to Frankston City Council for the opportunity.

“We are delighted to bring The Food Truck Park to a brand-new destination and anticipate it will be a huge success for the local community and tourism alike,” he said.

Starting the program of fantastic community-driven events, Frankston mayor James Dooley said the suburb’s reputation for hosting successful major events which enhance the lifestyle of residents and attract visitors from across the state was set to strengthen.

“These new events are set to bring Frankston City alive, further enhancing its status as a must-see destination for tourism and events on the Mornington Peninsula and within Victoria,” said the mayor.

Building on the huge success of current venues in Preston and Coburg, and past pop-ups in Southbank, Docklands, Richmond and Rye, The Food Truck Park is ready to bring the street food movement to the peninsula this year. With more reason than ever to visit Frankston, guests will enjoy every moment, with sunshine, seaside views and street food this October.
