The Greek Australian Cultural League (GACL) will once again be hosting the Antipodean Palette Group Exhibition, this year taking place from 17 until 27 August.
A chance to celebrate the diverse works of artists within the Greek Australian community, artists are being encouraged to apply for participation.
Now in its 7th year, Antipodean Palette has become an annual highlight in the GACL’s calendar and an important forum to present and discuss works influenced by both the Australian and Greek cultures respectively.
Visitors to the exhibition on the opening night will have the opportunity to submit their preference for a People’s Choice art prize, and an art judge will also be appointed to select and present a Judge’s Prize to one of the exhibits.
Established in 1970, the GACL is a non-profit organisation that supports the creative endeavours of Greek Australian writers, artists and musicians. Awarded a Medal for Excellence in Multicultural Affairs & Meritorious Service to the Community, the GACL contributes to the enrichment of literature and the arts by organising many successful annual events.
Artists are invited to submit their entry application online anytime between now and the end of April.
The exhibition will be held at Steps Gallery, 62 Lygon Street, Carlton, VIC. The gallery will be open Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm and during the weekends 11am – 3pm. For more information, visit www.gacl.com.au or email [email protected]
