My Life in Ruins starring Canadian born actress Nia Vardalos and Greek actor Alexis Georgoulis enjoyed its world premiere in Athens last week.
Produced by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, the movie also stars Richard Dreyfuss.
Male lead, Alexis Georgoulis is appearing in his first Hollywood movie but is is famous in Greece from his numerous roles in films such as Oxygen and I’m tired of killing your lovers’ as well as in the theatre. Georgia (Nia Vardalos) is a tour guide, whose personal life is in ruins. In order to try and get rid of an unsuccessful relationship, she finds a job and moves to Greece, where she meets the bus driver Prokopis, who everybody calls Poupi (Alexis Georgoulis).
