As Greece passes from the summer into autumn, Greek performers start setting up their winter schedule.

The concert will help raise funds for the humanitarian work Medecins Du Monde do in Greece and abroad.

While last week we mentioned all the pop acts enjoying seasons working in regular clubs in the capital, there are those performers who will continue performing in outdoor venues and concert venues over the next couple of months.

Greek rockers Nikos Portokaloglou, Nikos Ziogalas and Manolis Famelos will finish off a series of performances they have put on over the summer season with a concert at the outdoor theatre in Papagou in Athens this coming Wednesday night (September 22).

The three performers who have a long history of forging a Greek flavoured pop rock over the last two decades will perform classic songs both solo and as a trio in what promises to be an unforgettable show.

On Friday September 24 Greek composers Euanthia Remboutsikas and Panayiotis Kalantzopoulos will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Medecins Du Monde with a concert which will feature their best known songs and compositions.

The concert will help raise funds for the humanitarian work Medecins Du Monde do in Greece and abroad.

Singers who will be performing on the night include Elly Paspala, Natasha Theodoridou, Vaggelis Korakas and Yiota Negka.

The concert will take place at the Theatro Petras in Petroupoli.

A concert which should not be missed if you are in Greece at the end of October is the final concert of the 2010 reunion tour of Panos and Haris Katsimichas.

Their tenth anniversary reunion tour has seen the Katsimichas brothers spend the northern spring and summer performing in major town and cities across Greece.

The reunion tour will finish off the tour with a concert in Athens and you can be sure the Olympic TaeKwondo auditorium at Faliro will ring with thousands of voices singing old favourites such as ‘Rita Ritaki’, ‘Tis Agapis Macheria’ and ‘Mi Gyriseis’.

One hopes the concert on Saturday October 30 will not be the final chance to see the two brothers perform together.
