The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI), is set to reward the Hellenic business and professional community with the 2010 Business Excellence Awards.
HACCI is calling for nominations in the categories of business excellence, professional excellence, community services, young achiever and lifetime achievement. The awards, which have been running for over 20 years, aim to encourage, acknowledge and reward achievements of excellence in Hellenic Australian business and professional life.
The Chairman, Harry Stamoulis, the President Nick Mylonas and the HACCI Committee invite nominations for Hellenic Australians who deserve to be recognised for excellence in one of the award categories.
President Nick Mylonas told Neos Kosmos HACCI is purposely targetting the awards not just towards the business community, which was traditionally the case, but also towards professionals.
“We want to encourage people to excel, we want to encourage people to have something to strive for. We are targeting the awards at younger people by the way of the young achiever award but also recognising people who have served the community their entire lives, which is evident in the lifetime achievement award,” Mr Mylonas said.
Award winners will be announced at this year’s HACCI Gala Ball to be held this Melbourne Cup Eve, Monday November 1, at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Melbourne.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from http://www.hacci.com.au.
Entries for nominations close Friday 22, October. For enquiries to the HACCI Manager Mary Gekas contact: (03) 9602 2977 or email info@hacci.com.au or go to www.hacci.com.au
