Vassilis Lekkas is coming to Australia for the first time in March to play Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on March 23. This is his only Australian performance and is part of the Greek Festival of Sydney that is on from March 26 to May 28.

Lekkas, a modern Greek singer, will perform an anthology of music from the greatest Greek composers including: Mikis Theodorakis; Manos Hadjidakis; Stavros Xarchakos; Manos Loizos; Thanos Mikroutsikos; Christos Leontis; Yannis Markopoulos; Tom Bakalaki; Marios Tokas; Apostolos Kaldaras; Bill Tsitsanis; and many more.

He will be accompanied by Yiannis Lardis and Georgia Lambri and the “Orchestra of the Municipality of Nea Ionia” with maestro Stefanos Psaradakos. This event will be a once in a lifetime performance and should not be missed.

Lekkas first appeared in the music scene 30 years ago singing the works of great composer Manos Hadjidakis. This began a long collaboration with the two that has seen them work on eight albums and perform in countless concerts in Greece and abroad and in many theatrical productions. Lekkas has appeared in many music halls and festivals in Greece and internationally.
