Greece finally have something to cheer about after winning the world championship of the women’s water polo over China on Friday 29 July.
The Greek team were dominant throughout even though the score reflects a tight 9-8 win but their overall tournament records show they are the true winners with a perfect record of six wins in six games.
This is Greece’s frist championship win in a sport that is only slowly taking dominance in the country.
