The Pink Cocktail Group will be raising money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through their annual gala dinner. The dinner will be held at Leonda by the Yarra and will aim to raise as much money for breast cancer research and awareness.

The Pink Cocktail Group is a unique group. Each member has been touched by breast cancer one way or another. This small group of friends is made up of breast cancer survivors, some have watched people close to them suffer through this disease and some have watched their mothers lose their battle with breast cancer. Breast cancer survivor Betty Gregoriades founded the Pink Cocktail Group. It began with a simple afternoon tea to raise much needed money for breast cancer research that evolved into something much bigger as her sisters and friends all rallied behind her wanting to help.

The youngest member of the group, Zoe Anastasiou says people of her generation do as much as they can to help as this disease doesn’t discriminate against age or race. “Being involved in this committee has opened my eyes. I was amazed by people’s generosity and willingness to help this wonderful cause. It has truly been a rewarding experience knowing that the funds we are raising are going towards saving people’s lives,” said Anastasiou.
