Nic Westaway and Bonnie Sveen met again, not as members of a TV show cast, but as hosts of the Paniyiri Greek Festival in Brisbane’s Musgrave Park.

The duo left Home and Away’s Summer Bay to dance together to the sound of traditional Greek music.

Bonnie wore an ankle-length white dress and a traditional tight vest adorning her torso. The Logie winner, accompanied by two male Greek dancers dressed in black, rocked the zorba dance, inviting visitors to join. Nic enthusiastically took to the stage, competing with professional Greek dancers honouring his traditional attire and managing to pull-off some impressive moves in spite of being dressed in multiple layers – including a white tunic, black vest, red fabric belt and a long white scarf.

INXS rocker Kirk Pengilly threw a surprise birthday party for his wife Layne Beachley at the Paniyiri – with a special cake by the pastry chefs.

Paniyiri Greek Festival holds the title of the longest-running Greek festival in Australia, since its 1976 inception, offering the world’s longest zorba dancing, plate smashing and Greek delicacy eating.

Last weekend’s turnout exceeded 60,000 visitors, eager to delve into one of Australia’s most exciting Greek experiences.
