The ten dramatic weeks of The Block, culminated on Wednesday night’s show during the finished apartments’ auction.

Greek Adelaide couple Tim and Anastasia were the first to go under the hammer with their property netting an initial reserve of $1.4 million for the building’s most noteworthy apartment.

The couple returned to the auction after last week’s dramatic episode where they walked out of The Block threatening to quit the show, when they were accused of not paying their plasterers.

The couple finished last on the leader board set by the judges, but the pair’s use of technology impressed affluent buyers getting them a whopping $755,000 profit.

Anastasia and Tim said they are eager to get back to their kids and family life that was put on hold and wipe their debts, as their participation in the show forfeited their income.

“We are happy to go back to our families and spend some quality times with our kids, and look forward to the next chapter of what could be our life now,” Anastasia said.

Their apartment was sold for $2,175,000 making a record win on landing.

Jess and Ayden were next up and with their $1,420,000 reserve, the bids were on fire, getting them a $665,000 profit out of the $2,000,000 final bid.

“We want to build a house on our block of land – we wanted $250,000,” Ayden said on camera before the auction.

They got a lot more than what they hoped for, plus another round of television exposure on Nine’s new show Reno Rumble where two teams will have to renovate 12 homes in 6 weeks.

Deanne and Darren, the third and luckiest couple to take the heat, made-up for last year’s flop that left them with only $10,000.

The Melbourne couple won making a $835,000 profit. With a reserve of $1,455,000 the bids stopped at $2,290,000. They also got the $100,000 grand prize taking home $935,000.

Their win was the biggest in the show’s history compensating for Darren’s brain tumor sudden surgery and the family’s bills.

The duo plans to go off rent and buy an apartment, while Deanne has been given a break as an interior designer.

Finally, the youngest couple on the show, Josh and Charlotte, who were also hoping to go home with enough money for a deposit to go apartment hunting, are leaving with a profit of $810,000.

Starting from $1,390,000 they sold their property for $2,200,000 with an opening bid of $1.8 million. More than enough to buy them the town-home of their dreams to house their romance.
