Welcome to Thornbury, Melbourne’s first permanent Bar and Food Truck Stop welcomes back one of its most popular events, the Greek Food Fest.

On 10 August, the popular urban food truck park licensed to serve more than 700 people, will open its garden to foodies and lovers of Greek street food flavours.

The Greek Food Fest is now a standard happening, following the success of several mini Greek food events and last year’s end of November weekend festival.

This time around, the onsite trucks will be Greek Street Food, The Greek Trojan Yiros, Athens VOICE GR, Taste of Cyprus, Honey dee Loukoumades and Athens Home of Greece all cooking up a storm to satisfy even the most demanding audience.

Aside from the classic souvas and skewers, visitors can immerse themselves in the delights of Greece with endless gyros, calamari, and of course ouzo not to mention Grecian drink specials over at the bar.

Greek style entertainment and live performances throughout the day are also not to be missed.

This is a free entry event kicking of at 12pm. As per usual, kids at Welcome to Thornbury are welcome until 8pm. Dogs, on the other hand, are welcome all day and night, always on a leash.

Most trucks do have EFTPOS facilities available; some smaller vendors still only accept cash but there is an ATM on site.

The festival will take place at 520 High St, Northcote. The best way to arrive on site is probably the the 86 tram and Croxton station, as parking might be hard on location for such a popular festival.
