80th ANNIVERSARY GALA

The Lemnian Community of Victoria is presenting its 80th Anniversary Gala this month. Formed in 1939 by Dimitrios Katakouzinos Blablanis, the community was created so that those like himself who left their island for new beginnings in Australia, could meet up regularly and keep the legacy of their fathers and forefathers alive for their children and future generations – and it has achieved exactly that. In celebration of the milestone, on the night, present members will formally pay tribute to past presidents. Attendees will be entertained by seven-piece band, Melodia, who will be performing live on the night. Tickets include a 3-course meal, beer, wine and soft drinks.
