ST SPYRIDON FEAST DAY

Ahead of the feast day of St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop Makarios will be visiting the church community this month to share in the celebration. He will take part in a special liturgy, and also give a speech following the morning service. Another liturgy will take place in the evening. On the actual feast day, an evening service will take place, followed by a a celebration, featuring music and dance performances by group Pegasus.

‘REJOICE’ ICONOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Uriel’s Workshop, founded by Eirene Stamatogiannis, has organised ‘Rejoice’, an iconography exhibition now showing at the Darebin Arts Centre. It features egg tempera works by some of the best master iconographers Melbourne has to offer, alongside master water gilders, wood carvers and jewellers. Traditional icons are on show, alongside Byzantine-inspired artworks, matted prints and limited edition prints. The exhibition uncovers hidden talents and supports the resurgence of iconography.

LEMNIAN CHRISTMAS FAMILY DAY

The Lemnian Community of Victoria is hosting a fun Christmas Family Day this month. There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family including an animal pet farm, face painting, balloon twisting and pony rides!
