Raising awareness and support for those touched by the tragedy of suicide, the Great Australians Gala Dinner returns for its third consecutive year.
Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt will welcome Great Australians and honour their achievements on 15 October, throwing a world-class feast at the Savoy Ballroom.
The night will offer top-notch audio and visual entertainment featuring performances from Normie Rowe, Wendy Matthews, James Morrison, Angry Anderson, Wilbur Wilde and Kate Ceberano.
The unmissable social event will bring together Australian sporting and Olympic greats, legends from the world of entertainment, literary high achievers, a Victoria Cross recipient and five recipients of the Cross of Valour to offer their time and support for Growing Hope, an all-ages suicide prevention program for people bereaved by suicide.
Whether on the sporting field, in the arts and business, or through acts of unbelievable selflessness, the history of Australia has been shaped by people from all walks of life who have risen above due to their actions.
All those great Australians will come together to raise awareness for the silent victims of suicide, the people left behind who become up to six times more likely to take their own lives.
