Melbourne is getting ready to welcome famous demotic Greek singer Efi Thodi and acclaimed klarino player Angelos Stathopoulos for an epic New Year’s Eve Party at Grand Star Reception in Altona North.

The duo, along with local support singers Doukisa and Dimitris Kavadas under the musical direction of Christos Nikolaidis, promises to deliver a show to remember with people expected to hit the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning.

After all, Thodi is known across Greece for keeping party spirits high with her performances.

The Karditsa-born singer has been active professionally in the country’s music scene since 1984 establishing herself in the demotic and folk genres, while she even managed to build a growing youth fan base in recent years through the hits Γλύκα Γλύκα and Είσαι Νινί.

Stathopoulos will be on her side to entertain crowds with his klarino sounds and demonstrate the wide repertoire that gained him the reputation of covering Greece’s diverse music traditions.
