For 25 years Place Management NSW (PMNSW) has supported a popular and vibrant community-based Cultural Festival Program in Darling Harbour, celebrating Australia’s diverse multiculturalism.

PMNSW plans to continue celebrating Sydney’s rich cultural diversity by bringing back the variety of vibrant Cultural Festivals at Tumbalong Park from 2021.

These festivals provide an opportunity for visitors to explore different cultures through food, cultural demonstrations and entertainment and so PMNSW are inviting community groups to express interest in participating in a new program for next year.

There are two seasons applicants can apply for; season one that runs from February 2021 to April 2021 and season two that runs from September 2021 to November 2021.

Applications of interest for season one are now open and will close on Monday 3 August 2020. Season two applications will be open from 1 February 2021.

There are some guidelines to think about when expressing interest:

  • A Cultural Festival is a celebration of the traditions of a particular people or place.
  • Cultural Festivals presented in Darling Harbour must demonstrate culturally relevant and appropriate food offerings, performances and merchandise offerings.
  • Must be free for the general public to attend.

To apply you can find the form here.
