ALEXANDER’S JOURNEY – A MULTICULTURAL STAGE SPECTACLE

A stage production that brings the epic life of Alexander the Great to vibrant life through a fusion of music, dance, and visual storytelling.

Presented by the Pan-Macedonian Association of Melbourne and Victoria, this one-of-a-kind event traces Alexander’s footsteps across ancient worlds—from Macedonia to the edges of India—celebrating the cultures he encountered along the way.

Featuring traditional dance performances from Macedonian, Pontian, Assyrian, Indian, and Armenian communities, this production highlights the timeless spirit of multiculturalism and the enduring legacy of one of history’s greatest figures.

GREEK WINE FAIR SYDNEY

A Greek wine tasting event at Prince Wine Store, taking you on a vinous journey thousands of years in the making.

Greece is a country that has an incredibly rich and diverse history with the grape growing and wine making dating back more than six millennia.

Today Greece has between 200 & 300 of them, with only around 80 that have been bottled and sold commercially.

SONGSTRESSES OF THE GOLDEN AGE OF GREEK CINEMA

This is an homage to the female singers of the golden age of Greek cinema. Following the success of the first sold-out concert which included an orchestra, this show is a more intimate performance by Dioni Vertzayas and will be her farewell to Australia as she has performance commitments back in Greece.

This current series of shows sees her working with George Ellis for the first time, who conducted the orchestra for the first concert, and with George Doukas with whom she has worked many times over the years, including the “Ode to Crisis” and “Divas” shows.

GREEK CAFES & MILK BARS OF AUSTRALIA

Leonard Janiszewski & Effy Alexakis, the renowned historian and documentary photographer, and creators of the In Their Own Image: Greek-Australians National Project Archive deliver a presentation on a history familiar to many Greek & Kytherian families – the Greek Cafes & Milk Bars of Australia.

These family-based food-catering enterprises ‘transformed’ Australian popular culture.

The Kytherian World Heritage Fund (KWHF) in collaboration with AHEPA NSW are inviting all to this free lecture and to support the digitisation of the In Their Own Image: Greek-Australians National Project Archive with the State Library of New South Wales.

The digitisation work is vital to preserve over 40 years of Greek-Australian historical research for generations to come.

EXHIBITION: GREEK COSTUME – TRADITION AND LIFE

An exhibition of traditional and everyday Greek clothing made and worn by our families and ancestors.

The costumes in the exhibition were donated to the Greek Museum of Adelaide by Greek immigrants who came to Australia.

Some of the costumes are donated by museums located in Greece and were donated as recognition and support. Free entrance.
