Documentary Λουλούδια του Πέλαγους by George Messaris will be screened at the Greek Bilingual Bookshop (837 New Canterbury Rd, Dulwich Hill, NSW) in English on Sunday 12 June at 4pm.

The film takes a look at Kefallonia and Ithaca, two islands in the middle of the Ionian Sea situated opposite one another and with an interesting history.

They share a common past that goes back thousands of years, including their inhabitants who have a reputation for being hard working, creative, stubborn, witty and adventurous.

To learn more about the islands’ interesting stories, the documentary takes a step back in time and explores their riveting histories by taking a look at their inhabitants and the abundance of natural beauty.
